Question #3

My car now has 56,000 miles on it and numerous things are breaking, why?  Susan

Answer: I get this question all the time so don’t feel like you’re alone. What’s there to say, the car makers plan that ahead of time? Well honestly I don’t know what else it could be since it’s so common. It seems that as soon as that warranty expires, the next day something fails. On top of that it’s not just one thing, more often than not 2 or 3 parts fail in a row. This is also common with older vehicles where a customer will come numerous times over the course of a couple of months. I refer to this period as “the hump” and you just have to go through it, come out the other side and you’re good to go for awhile. Some of you will think that the mechanic is breaking things (well who’s to say that’s not true either) but most times it does just seem to go that way.
