Q: I went to my mechanic and they fixed my window issue in what seemed like 5 mintues and then charged me $100. Can you haggle on the labor charges? Sean

A: Of course you can haggle over the labor charges and you have every right to ask them that question. My advice would be to ask it ahead of time in the form of “Is that $100 an hour labor charge a minimum charge or will you charge me for the actual time?” There shouldn’t be any minimum charges in my opinion but not all garages would agree with me. Anyone who has any decent customer service wouldn’t charge one, sometimes you just have to fix things for your customers even though it’s not worth your time. Try to find a mechanic who treats you better.
