First Question

Q: Is it at all helpful for me to try to imitate vocally the sound my car is making? Donna

A:  Probably not since it may sound one way to you and another way to someone else. Also bottom line, what are you trying to achieve with this imitation? You are asking the mechanic to guess and the only way to get a proper diagnosis is to bring the car in and let them see what the problem is. I get these phone calls all the time, I usually have no idea what they’re talking about (sounds like a porpoise birthing it’s baby to me) so I always say the same thing. Just drive it by and let us hear it, there’s no charge for us to look at it (very important note here, there should be NO CHARGE for this) and if we think it’s important we’ll have you leave it.
